'Icecream Jedi' is a colorful illustration on heavy paper depicting a human character eating an icecream in the sun.

The style is different from the other artworks by Michiel Nagtegaal and a bit of an experiment to move towards a more figurative style.

Posca acrylic paint markers are used to get the bright, sunny atmosphere and consistent color scheme.

Invitation re-opening school 'Groen van Prinstererschool' Voorburg

My daughter Zoë (2013) attends the 'Groen van Prinsterer'-school in Voorburg, the Netherlands. In her first year the school finished an extensive 2 year renovation which involved moving all the kids to a temporary school nearby.

To celebrate the finished renovation and the move into the new building, a party for everyone involved was held. I was asked to design the invitation.

To symbolise the moving to and from the temporary location, I designed a looped road, with the 'old' school as a starting point and the temporary location as a milestone half way.
